The White Horse Hotel – 25 Years under current family ownership.
25 Years ago this April, The White Horse Hotel was bought by local businessman Issam Horshi who has grown and developed this family run business with the help of his staff and the support of the kind and generous custom of the local community.
In November 2016, Issam’s dedication and love of Derry and his patrons contributed to his being awarded an MBE for services to tourism in Northern Ireland. Over the past 25 years, he has overseen the development of The White Horse Hotel from a 3 star Inn to a 4 star Hotel . It is now renowned for its food and its hospitality.
In the past 25 years, the hotel has grown from 43 to 58 bedrooms, added an extensive ballroom and the largest leisure club of any hotel in the area. It boasts Spa Treatment Rooms, a 20 metre heated pool, separate children’s pool, sauna, steam room and full gym.
As a thank you to the customers, many of whom have been visiting the hotel for decades, The White Horse is running a scratchcard giveaway throughout their birthday month. Every overnight guest, restaurant customer and Leisure Club member will receive a scratchcard. Everyone will be a winner with prizes ranging from a free tea or coffee to an overnight stay.
